A Busy Year at Cathy Heck Studio

Austin, TX – Known for their classic children’s keepsake collections and a twenty-eight-year expertise in designs for juvenile products, the team at Cathy Heck Studio has enjoyed a busy year of creating new art. With more than a dozen new nursery collections and fresh Christmas and seasonal offerings, this family-run design house is ready to supply Surtex buyers with the full spectrum of long-selling favorites to fresh-off-the-drawing-table novelty picks.

A favorite new offering is Cuteville County Fair, a high-end juvenile fabric collection, which will be introduced at Spring Quilt Market through Henry Glass Fabrics. Cuteville is a fun blend of fresh country patterns combined with the studio’s iconic lovable characters. When asked about working with the Cathy Heck Studio team, Henry Glass Design Director, Lisa Loessel shared “The Cathy-Ellen dynamic duo will astound you with their creativity and enthusiasm. It is infectious. What a joy to be working with two individuals so innovative and prolific!”

Focusing on the expansion of their seasonal collections, the design team completed their fourth photo book with Shutterfly, Glad Tidings, which launched online in October. They have also licensed Winterland to Design Design for cards and wrapping paper, which will be available at the end of 2013. In addition, Dimensions has continued the success of the Little Pond needlework kits by adding a new quilt cover to the mix.

Cathy and Ellen are looking forward to Surtex, where they will have the opportunity to visit with their long-standing clients, as well as build new partnerships in home decor, gift, bath, seasonal, books, and toys.
